These authors studied the predictability of myopathy occurrence in endurance horses using serum muscle enzyme activity as predictor. The researchers concluded that relying solely on serum muscle enzyme activity for diagnosis of myopathy should be done with caution until the strength of association between CK and myopathy has been further studied.
